New business launch
Mosaic is a personal passion project, born out of the love of being immersed in gorgeous imagery: the dopamine hit that comes with finding something beautiful amidst all of the scrolling; the places your imagination takes you in creating cohesive visual stories out of what had been singular images.
After designing and art directing for the last 20 years, throughout every iteration of my career, the one common thread has been the consistent need for high-quality imagery and the subsequent challenge of finding it, so I set out turn my love of visual storytelling and hunting and gathering into a resource that helps other creatives like me. In a nutshell, I search the stock sites, pull together gorgeously curated photo collections using only the best free stock imagery out there, and package these collections of links for sale as a digital product. The goal is to save creatives time and energy, while also providing a distinct visual point of view they can use in their work.
After having the business idea, developing the branding, and creating the first photo collections, I designed and built Mosaic's e-commerce shop on Shopify. Maxing out the theme's native capabilities and leveraging metafields to their max, I created a visually dynamic site that highlights the gorgeous imagery contained in each collection but without giving everything away. Careful attention was paid to conveying the vibe and the feeling of each collection to customers, as well as ensuring that the entire site is easily discoverable since the Mosaic concept is a new one to the stock photography world.
Once the look and feel for the brand and the site was set, I concepted, wrote, and designed various marketing materials for the brand including social media posts and email marketing newsletters and automated flows.
